Privacy Policy

Last Updated: August 26, 2026

Stop In Auto Repair respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect through this website, how we use and share that information, and the choices available to you. This website is primarily intended to provide information about our automotive services and allow customers to contact us about potential service needs.

Information You Provide

When online service requests are enabled, you may choose to provide your first and last name, email address, phone number, preferred contact method, optional vehicle year, make, and model, the service category you are interested in, and a message describing what you have noticed or would like us to review.

You are not required to use the online service-request form. You may contact the shop by phone instead.

Please do not use the service-request form to send Social Security numbers, payment-card information, driver's-license numbers, account passwords, medical information, or other sensitive information that is not needed for an automotive service request. The website does not process payment-card information through the service-request form.

Technical and Security Information

When you visit the site or submit a service request, our hosting and security services may automatically process technical information needed to operate and protect the website. This can include an IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, request metadata, and information used to detect automated or abusive traffic.

The service-request form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to help distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic. Turnstile may process browser and device signals and produces a verification token that is validated by the website before a request is accepted. Cloudflare states that Turnstile does not access, store, or transmit the service-request form entries themselves as part of its Turnstile security function.

How We Use Information

Information may be used to:

  • Review and respond to a service request.
  • Contact you about your vehicle or requested service.
  • Coordinate potential automotive service and next steps.
  • Send a transactional acknowledgment of a submitted request.
  • Deliver an internal notification to the shop.
  • Protect the website and form from spam, bots, abuse, and repeated automated requests.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain website reliability.
  • Maintain appropriate business or service records.
  • Comply with legal obligations or protect the rights and security of the shop, customers, and others.

Submitting a service request does not confirm an appointment.

Transactional Email

When a service request is submitted successfully, the website may send an internal notification to Stop In Auto Repair and a transactional acknowledgment to the email address you supplied. These emails are used for the service-request workflow. Submitting a service request does not automatically subscribe you to marketing email.

Service Providers

Stop In Auto Repair uses service providers to operate and protect the website and deliver service-request communications:

  • Vercel hosts the website and provides infrastructure and hosting-level request protection. In operating the site, its infrastructure may process technical traffic information such as IP addresses, request information, browser/device information, logs, and related operational data.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile provides bot and abuse protection for the service-request form and processes security signals and verification information needed to perform that function.
  • Resend is used to deliver transactional service-request email. Information processed for email delivery may include recipient email addresses, email metadata, and the content of the transactional messages.

These companies process information to provide services to Stop In Auto Repair and are subject to their own privacy and data-processing terms.

Sale and Advertising

Stop In Auto Repair does not sell personal information submitted through the service-request form and does not use service-request information for targeted advertising or behavioral profiling. We do not share service-request information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

Browser Storage

After a successful service request, this website uses your browser's sessionStorage to remember the successful submission within the same browser tab and display the request reference and a short post-submission cooldown. The stored success record contains only:

  • The public request reference.
  • The time the request was completed.

The site does not store your submitted name, email address, phone number, vehicle information, service message, Turnstile token, or request UUID in this sessionStorage record. The success record is used only for the same-tab thank-you and cooldown experience and is cleared when it expires according to the site's current behavior. This browser feature is not a server-side security measure.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain service-request information for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to the request, communicate about potential or completed automotive service, maintain appropriate business records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal or operational requirements. Our hosting, security, and email service providers may retain information under their own agreements, settings, and retention practices.

Other Disclosures

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, or governmental requests; to investigate fraud, abuse, or security issues; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Stop In Auto Repair, our customers, or others.

Information Security

Stop In Auto Repair uses reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information handled through this website. These measures include server-side input validation, bot verification, hosting-level request rate limiting, request-boundary protections, and limited browser success storage. No website, email system, or method of electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children's Privacy

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the service-request form. If we learn that information from a child under 13 was submitted through the website, we may take reasonable steps to delete it.

Your Choices

You may choose not to submit an online service request and contact the shop by phone instead. You may also contact Stop In Auto Repair to ask about personal information you previously submitted through this website or to request a correction or deletion. We may need to retain certain information when reasonably necessary for legal, security, dispute-resolution, or legitimate business-record purposes. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights.

Third-Party Links

The site may provide links to third-party services, such as a maps or directions service. If you follow one of those links, the third party's own privacy practices apply. Stop In Auto Repair does not control those third-party privacy practices.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the website, service providers, or business practices change. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date shown on this page.
